Ys VIII Lacrimosa of DANA PC Version Will Be Launched At The End Of January

Nihon Falcom has finally completed the game optimizations and localization for Ys VIII Lacrimosa of DANA that was promised in October. The game is ready to be released on PC globally on January 30th, 2018.

The original localization received a lot of criticism from the western fans. To many fans the original script was a bit stiff and dry. The new localization updates includes improvements to the game’s script, adjustment to graphical text, and re-recorded audio. According to the developers, this new content will be implemented on the PC version, as well as the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita versions of the game. We are pleased to announce that the PC release of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA will have a target global release date of January 30, 2018. Included in the PC release are game optimizations and the localization revisions originally announced in October. The localization revisions include improvements to the game’s script, adjustments to graphical text and re-recorded audio and will be implemented across PC, PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®Vita versions simultaneously.
